Spring Break

Well Winter Semester is finally over, and I am looking forward to the Summertime! Over my Spring Break I was able to go down and spend time in Utah with my family and Ryan and his family. Because it was Easter weekend, Ryan had Friday and Monday off, which worked out well so that we were able to meet up in Utah on Thursday afternoon.

We went rock climbing up Big Cottonwood Canyon

Ryan took me for a bike ride, I really enjoyed it!

Thursday night we were able to go to baptisms at the Draper Temple!

There I am...

St. George

Uncle Darrin and Aunt Jenny were kind enough to let us bombard them for a few days...THANK YOU!

Hoover Dam

We were able to take a tour of the dam and got to go all the way down to the bottom!

Zion's Nation Park

Me and Daddy on our first hike on the second day

On our way up to Angles Landing

I get the credit for finding this hole in the rock, thank you very much! lol.

...and credit for this too, but it was Ryan's idea to climb into it

17 switch backs...I thought it was harder going down than up

So I risked death here...climbing for 1/2 a mile on this rim, 1500 foot drop off on both sides

That's the ridge I hiked, some places were only a 2 feet wide

Resting
I made it the top of Angles Landing, and this is view from up there. We hiked up in the snow, and as we reached the top, the clouds moved out and it was beautiful! And by the time we got back to the bottom, there wasn't a cloud in sight.

Only the three of us made it all the way to the top, and I'm glad I did

On top of the world

Look at those Studs (Ryan and Casey)

So last weekend I went down to Lake Powell with Ryan's family, the weather was beautiful and the water was freezing...but worth ever ounce of tan that I got! lol.

So that sand hill in the back ground, we hiked up it, it's a WHOLE lot steeper than it looks in the picture, and took me forever to get to the top, but it was a lot of fun going down!

Hiking to the top of the Sand Hill...last one up...big surprise

This is Ryan...he's crazy

So there's a story behind this...it's called an Aqua Skipper, Ryan's cousin Reece is big into toys and this is one of his. I'll add some video's below of how this works, but you can also check it out on youtube...

He's my little climber

Tubing

LOOK! I was brave enough to get into this water...it was 50 degrees...crazy. My hands are out of the water, because they started to go numb if they were in the water...
So this is what we call a Sky Ski...I've never seen one before, but apparently they're quite popular. This is Ryan's Cousin Reece don't some stunts, he's crazy!

The Aqua Skipper:

This is Reece trying it for the first time

And here's Ryan trying it for the last time, they both got pretty good at it!
