Summer Time!

Well this last week in Rexburg has been totally miserable. It’s been miserable windy and snowy. I don’t understand why someone would want to live in such a dreadful place. And of course when I called home to tell my Mom how miserable it was, she would then brag to me of the beautiful weather Georgia was experiencing. HOW RUDE. Lol. Love you Mom!

Well this last week we started a new semester, Summer Semester, it really should be called Second Winter Semester, because it’s definitely not summertime here. I am really looking forward to this semester; I am ready to start fresh. I am taking some fun classes like Ballroom Dance, and Confectionary. Culinary Arts is my cluster, a cluster is half a minor. And in my confectionary class I am going to learn how to make cadies, chocolates, caramels, and truffles. I am not going to lie; I am pretty excited about it! I am also looking forward to my dance class. I love dancing; I am just not very good at it. But after this semester I should be a pro, well not quite a pro, but better dancer at least.

Now that it’s a new semester, pretty much all my friends and cousins have left for the summer. Even though I didn’t see any of them very often, it was still nice to run into them every now and again on campus. But I am excited for a new semester to make new friends and meet new people.

So last semester I was really stressed out for various different reasons, and I found myself having trouble reading occasionally. So I took the liberty of getting myself some reading glasses. It’s weird for me because I have never had glasses before. I am getting used to them, but I still don’t know what I think about them. Yes? No? Do I look smart?

And I know you guys are probably getting tired of seeing pictures of my roommates, but I just love them so much! And yesterday we took more pictures of us. I am really going to miss them when I come home in July.

Last weekend I was able to go down to Provo and see Grandma Buttle, it had been over a year since I have seen her, so it was nice to be able to spend some one on one time with her. I was also able to see some friends from home, Ben and Charlie! It was a great weekend, I am glad that I was able to go down and spend some time with them.

Roommate Road Trip

Roommate road trip to Star Valley Whyoming! Karli has a cabin in Star Valley, and so we went there and hung out with her family for the weekend. It was a blast! Saturday we got to go snowmobiling, it was my frist time ever and I had the time of my life. I was reaching speeds of 55 MPH, and hitting some fun jumps. Karli says that we're now true snowmobiliers and we can now call them sleds. After snowmobiling we came back to the cabin and jumped in the hot tub and relaxed for the rest of the night. Sunday morning (Lisa's Birthday/Easter) we went to a ward in Star Valley, and oh my goodness, it was a sight to see. The organist over exaggerated the emotion in the song. One measure she would be playing really quietly and peaceful, and the next she would be pounding the keyboard. It was pretty funny. The guy sitting behind us was snoring in our ears, and the Grandma sitting next to us was making rude comments about a baby's dress. It was definitly a ward of character...To say the least. lol. Not to mention the Mother who couldn't not control they're children, they were running around all over the place. lol.
It was so good to get away, I am so glad that I have such fun, wonderful and loving roommates, it really makes life so much easier. Welp, here are some pictures I thought would be fun for you guys to see.

Roommate Madness

So we all dressed alike for Church on Sunday just because we could. It was fun, there was a lot of people who noticed, I mean we were kind of hard to miss. But these are my wonderful roomates, (left to right) Allie, Lisa, Karli, and then me! I love them so much, I really couldn't ask for better roommates. I could live with them the rest of my life and be totally ok with it!

Catch Up

Well this is going to be quick, but the semester is half over I am so glad! This first half of the semester has been extreamly hard, there have been many sad nights, and many hours spent at the library. But I am expecting the last half of this semester to run a bit smoother, so I am looking forward to it! I love it out here. My family came out this weekend for Kendalynn's blessing, and it was good to see them. I love to see them because they always bring a touch of home with them, although it makes me miss home even more, I love it! I am just glad that they'll be back out here in like 7 weeks! Well I should head to bed, I have early class in the morning, but I promise that picture are in the near future! Love you guys.

BRRR...It's cold outside. I love everything about Idaho except for the freezing cold weather for several straight months. I am already excited for Summer time!

Well Tyler and I made the dreadful trip back out to Idaho the first weekend in January. We left Georgia at 6:00 p.m Friday night, drove over Hoover Dam at about 9:30 Saturday night, and drove the Las Vegas Strip shortly after that. It was a neat experience to drive the strip, I would never want to live there or visit there, but it was cool to see and now I can say I've been there! Well our journey didn't stop there, we then continued to drive to St. George, Utah where we made it to Uncle Darren's house at 1:00 on Sunday Morning. We then got comfortable and quickly fell asleep. We were able to visit with they're family Sunday morning before they left for church, so that was nice! At 11:30, Tyler and I left St. George and drove up to Salt Lake City where we spent the rest of the day and that night with Katie's Grandpa. Then of course Monday morning came quickly, and we jumped back in the car to make the terrible drive to Rexburg Idaho.

Monday night I was able to re-unite with some old friends of mine and have an FHE/ Football game get-together! It was fun! Classes started Wednesday, my teachers so far seem FANTASTIC! So that's always good. Ask me in a month, I may not say the same thing. lol. But I bests be going, I've got homework to do. I Love you all!

Thursday, January 3, 2008

So, I am going to try to update once a week, so check back frequently! Me and Tyler leave for Idaho tomorrow night, and will be arriving in Salt Lake City Sunday Morning. We're driving straight through. There we'll meet up with Katie and her Mom who will be flying into Salt Lake Sunday Morning. So please pray for us, that we will have good weather driving. Thanks you guys, love you!
